Bill Tsukuda was born in Santa Clara County in Northern California during its transition from being known as the Valley of Hearts Delight to becoming Silicon Valley. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design, and graduated in 1999 with a B.F.A in Illustration with honors.

He currently resides, once again, in Northern California. Among his accomplishments are inclusion in American Illustration and the Communication Arts Illustration Annual and an award from The Society of Illustrators. His clients have included The Utne Reader, Boston Globe, The Progressive, Phi Delta Kappan, Yee Design, Philadelphhia Magazine, Charlotte Magazine, The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, L.A. Times Magazine, and the University of Chicago Press.

He owns no pets, nor anything that requires any external care to remain living.
